​2025 SKIN CANCER UPDATE: MIA and ASPS Satellite Meeting

The 2025 Skin Cancer Update: MIA and ASPS Satellite Meeting is an opportunity for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals (including Surgeons, Dermatologists, Medical Oncologists, Primary Care Physicians and Trainees) to learn about the latest updates in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. Hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia and held in collaboration with the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, this meeting will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear from multidisciplinary experts across all stages of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.
The cost of the ticket will include presentations, afternoon tea, and a ticket to the networking event after the meeting.

DIEP Flap Reconstruction: Surgical strategies for optimal patient outcomes​​​​​​​

Session Synopsis
This session will explore key surgical techniques and critical considerations for DIEP flap reconstruction, a gold-standard technique for breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Topics include patient selection criteria, perioperative considerations, perforator mapping, flap dissection and microsurgical anastomosis. Strategies to optimise outcomes and minimise complications such as flap loss, fat necrosis and donor site morbidity will be discussed and advances in post-operative monitoring will be explored. The session will conclude with case studies and best practices to enhance surgical success and patient satisfaction.

The Welcome reception will be held at the conclusion of sessions on Thursday 26 June in the Exhibition gallery and is a great opportunity to make valuable connections and discuss the day’s sessions. This event is included in all full registrations. Additional tickets for guests or day delegates attending on Thursday may be purchased for $90 inc GST per person.
