COVID19 Safety Plan
Our COVID-19 Safety Plans & Congress management
A comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan has been developed for the PSC2022 Congress that details how we are managing the risks of COVID-19 at the Congress. The Congress Management team will oversee the implementation of the COVID safety measures along with the venue. These include measures such as:
Encouraging at least 1.5 metres between individuals
Maintaining good hand and respiratory hygiene
Regular cleaning and disinfecting of venue
Communication, consultation, instruction, training and supervision of team
Hygiene reminder messaging throughout venue
Participants who feel more comfortable wearing face masks will be encouraged to do so.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and adjust risk management responses accordingly.
Please note that by registering for this event, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and its Congress organisers, WALDRONSMITH Management, reserve the right if required to provide participants’ contact details to authorities for the purposes of contact tracing.
The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons requests all participants in the Congress be full vaccinated at the time of the Congress to gain access.
Participants may be asked to show a copy of their digital or printed vaccination certificate or a copy of an approved exemption on arrival at the Congress.
It is important that all participants acknowledge there are inherent risks associated with large events such as the Congress, such as possible quarantine or self-isolation requirements should you become ill with COVID-19 or related symptoms whilst at the Congress. The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons will not be liable for any loss or damages to individual participants that are caused by events beyond our control. We strongly recommend all participants carefully check the details of any insurance coverage you may hold, as well as the specific terms and conditions of your travel and accommodation bookings.
What will be required of participants?
All participants at the Congress will be required to comply with the COVID Safe guidelines and protocols in place at the Congress. Please follow all signage and instructions from staff when moving around the Congress venues. Observe good hygiene practices to minimise the risk of exposure to or spread of COVID-19, including regular hand washing and the frequent use of hand sanitiser. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
COVID-19 symptoms or contact
If you are feeling unwell and display COVID-19 symptoms (loss or change in sense of smell or taste, fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or runny nose), please do not attend the Congress. Get tested and quarantine at home or your accommodation property until test results are received. If at any stage during Congress you develop symptoms, contact the Queensland COVID-19 support line on 134268.
